This is something that kind of bothered me in Raimi's movies. He has a professional looking costume on a poor kid's budget.

I had a similar conversation on this message board. Someone had already seen Amazing Spider-Man because it was released in Japan, so I asked them if The Amazing Spider-Man made any mention of his costume and a couple of people (who hadn't seen the movie yet) thought I was just trying to create a fuss.

And some pointed out that people have made Spider-Man's costume from the movie, but I had argued that:

A. Those people had a bigger budget.
B. They had a longer time to work on it.
C. They had guides (behind the scenes documentaries, online guides, etc.)
D. Their costumes aren't made for the abuse that Spider-Man's is.

I have absolutely no problem with 616's Spider-Man creating his costume. It doesn't look specifically professional or homemade. And Ultimate Spider-Man explained that he got it from his wrestling day and Mary Jane did repairs on it.

Eh, it's all part of the pointless "Avengers vs. Batman vs. Spider-Man" war. This is why I generally don't discuss these movies online.

Also, is it me, or does Batman look a bit...dusty?

Agreed. Not only did Peter have no budget...we saw that previously, all he could afford was a spray painted sweatshirt. He didn't get paid for the wresteling match, so where did that money for the new costume come from?
